This was recorded by the Portsmouth Sinfonia in an experiment where all the members of the orchestra would swap instruments with each other and attempt to play them to the best of their ability.
favorite things about this
literally all the brass starts to get the hang of it and then the crescendos happen and everyone is like FUCK FUCK FUCK??? FUCK. JUST. BLOW RLY HARD.
the strings are lazy but also the same. like u can tell a lot of the ppl w/ the stringed instruments may already basically know how to play stringed instruments. like there’s definitely a section at the beginning where you hear a good portion going “oh yeah this is like. a smaller/bigger version of what i do.”
all you hear of any woodwinds is just “pffffttt??? pFFFTTTT???? PFFFFFTTTT I SAID PFFFFTTTT!!!!!” bc woodwinds are fucking HARD and you hear after like the first crescendo half of them just give up. they give up. they’re done. fuck this it tastes weird and my lips hurt.
that trumpet. that person is fucking TRYING man they fucking GOT this. they may not have figured out notes but they figured out LOUD and they GOT this.
someone’s about to break a timpani head
I literally cried laughing at this, just listen okay
Turns out that the sound didnt render properly so the timing is off through nearly the whole thing. Im a little sad because I spent a lot of time on that
I was gonna put the video back on private setting once this was done…but apparently Chen laoshi really wants me to keep it up because its a basic review of most of the vocab and grammar for this quarter. She asked if she could show it to her new students next year
So I guess its up there. Although I doubt many of you know my usernaaaame
i’m not like other girls. actually, i’m nothing like other girls. and that girl u saw get on the bus earlier isn’t like other girls either. it’s surprising, really. it’s almost as if everybody is different from each other. holy shit
I know, I know! I wasn’t planning to, but family is family, and sometimes you just have to shut up and let other people be happy. I can be stubborn, but by no means would I ruin family time due to my own personal issues against the film (Taty, baby, this is how much I love you. And you know how much I love to fight stuff)
That being said. I wrote a review about it. My personal thoughts on seeing the movie. Some positive, mostly negative. I won’t say anything, because I know its still new and chances are many of you haven’t had a chance to see it. I hate spoilers, and I hate people that spoil.
I don’t know if I should post it at all, actually. Its quite negative (ironically, it has nothing to do with my original issue about their changing the plot, because its so different that I don’t even know why they’re saying its based on the original fairy tale. Funny how that worked out)
But I really don’t know what to say because I actually went in thinking, really…no matter what I say, this will be a great movie. They made Tangled, they made Wreck-It-Ralph, which were complex and dynamic and I totally loved them. it. will. be. great. I had no doubts whatsoever. And then I saw it and…I didn’t think it was great. I was actually…ridiculously disappointed. I thought it was messy and underdeveloped, with a dash of hypocrisy on the side.
Still, that rant’s here. Usually my rants are train of thought, with minimal editing only to check for spelling and grammar, but I’m thinking I’ll go over it again just to cut it down and organize my thoughts a bit (I was so disappointed about being disappointed that I…accidentally wrote a 2.5 page paper on it. Single spaced. /sigh). Maybe I’ll post it later, after finals are done and such. But that’s to think about at another time
“What I love about Tumblr is that I get chance to read into people’s personal and private thoughts. In real life, especially during your early years, everyone’s mostly wearing a mask and you never know who they truly are. But on Tumblr, you get to.”—(via psych-facts)
Tiny Towers has officially been deleted. I thought I was getting close to beating it, but turns out thats not actually possible, and it was sucking too much time
Rpg maker is working well. I think I have most if the necessary mechanics up and working, thanks to the wonderful ppl over at rpgvx ace forums. Only issue is that some of the characters aren’t showing up. Im wondering if its because the program is Japanese based, so it can show kanji (from what Ive heard, kanji takes from both simplified and traditional characters) but some Chinese characters are excluded. Im trying to figure out how to change the font, but I have yet to find the configuration panel. Til then, Ill have to deal with the occasional box in my text
I suspect that the number of ppl reading these is slowly dwindling, BUT Im hoping to get some good answers cuz so far all the book recommendations from you all have been fantastic.
Break is coming up soon, and since its one of my few real breaks, I was hoping to get some real reading done. Im ready to finish up Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, but Im already about a third of the way through and expect to finish it relatively quick. I might revisit The Night Circus, its one of my favs right now
So my request is simple - any book recommendations?
Usually I prefer some magical elements in my readings (Im not all to fond of books without them, I usually find them rather bland, with only a handful of exceptions here and there) so if you guys have any good fantasy novels (ok, Im pretty desperate. As long as its quality writing content wont matter as much) thatd be awesome ^^
If a 16 year old would want to adopt a child no one would give it to her because she isn’t 21 yet or not an adult or maybe too irresponsible.
So if a 16 year old is so irresponsible and not an adult yet so she wouldn’t even be allowed to adopt a child, then why would the government force her to get that child even though she might not want it?
Let’s talk about how logical the bill against abortion is now
